Carrots are traditionally grow better in spring and autumn seasons. However, Javelin is classified as a “warm-season-only” variety, proudly wearing the new seed packet icon indicating “Warm Season Only”.
Javelin F1 is a medium-maturing hybrid Nantes/Berlicum-type carrot, distinguished by its long, smooth, and uniform roots. With a medium orange external and internal colour, Javelin offers a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
With a maturity period of approximately 95-110 days from sowing and root lengths ranging from 16 to 25cm, Javelin offers flexibility and reliability for both commercial and home gardeners alike. Its cylindrical shape with a semi-blunt/slightly tapered tip, known as a Cylindroconical shape, ensures ease of harvest and handling.
With strong stem attachment and intermediate resistance against alternaria blight, Javelin thrives in a variety of growing conditions, making it a dependable choice for gardeners of all skill levels.
