Flanders Poppy

The Flanders Poppy, scientifically known as Papaver rhoeas, holds significant cultural and symbolic importance, particularly as a symbol of remembrance for fallen soldiers (11 November, Remembrance Day). Flanders Poppies typically feature bright red petals with black or dark spots at the base and a prominent black center. The flowers have a crepe-paper-like texture and grow on slender stems, standing at heights of around 30 to 45 centimeters.
